Chapter 3: Life Seemed Fine Until it Didn’t

I embraced and grew into my role as a teacher of personal safety and empowerment.

The business grew. I won medals. My children thrived. My husband loved me the most (or so his social media followers would have sworn).

Ironically though just below the visible surface, I was trapped in my own unempowered, financially insecure, gaslighted, and emotionally abusive relationship. The imbalance of power ended up usurping my strength, resiliency, and creative energy. My life exploded into pieces in a period I still call creative destruction.

I ended the marriage. I ended the partnership. I completed the degrees.
